“Beautifully Bossed Up”

Target celebrated, supported and empowered ‘naturalistas’ and curly girls from around the world with their “Beautifully Bossed Up” theme. The creative handle, designed as a motivational message and call-to-action for budding business owners, invited all attendees to chase their own entrepreneurial dreams while exploring Target’s popular assortment of Black-owned beauty products.

“From Every Angle”

Target made a monumental debut at the world-famous Afropunk festival with a unique theme designed to celebrate Black identity in every dimension and form. “From Every Angle” invited attendees to engage their senses, ignite their curiosity and explore an elevated sense of self through 4 visually-stunning areas (Create, Shine, Grow, Chill). Self-expression was key throughout as Target encouraged all guests to celebrate and proudly showcase their individuality.

“Make Way”

For a uniquely-curated beauty experience, Target partnered with Essence Magazine for the 2019 holiday season, creating a shoppable space to encourage and empower Atlanta-area women. The theme “Make Way” illustrated Target’s dedication to creating more space for Black products and entrepreneurs–in the world and on the shelves. Attendees were invited to “make way” for more magic and possibility in their own lives, all while exploring immersive activations, memorable family moments and Target’s own assortment of Black-owned merchandise.
